Travel & Move:

-mirroring the body shapes of a partner

-using different body shapes to a series of beats of varying tempos

-designing & performing simple sequences that focus on changes in directions, level, pathway & shape

-manipulating different objects through different levels in time to a signal or music of varying tempos or speeds

-changing from 1 pathway to another both leading & following a partner

-in different ways using long & short arm & leg combinations

-performing self-designed and given simple sequences

-jump and land using a variety of takeoffs and landings

-jump a swinging rope

-jump a self-turned rope in at least three different ways

-changing pathways as quickly as possible

- symmetrical & asymmetrical

-fast & slow

-use 1 or a combination of 2 at a time & express definite contrasts of light and strong force

-lift, pull, push, toss, hold, reach, drop, bounce

- on signal & at different speeds

-i.e. rolls, cartwheels, animal walks

- combine even and uneven locomotor & body movements into counted-out groups of 3, 4 or 8 beats

- in relation to various low hurdles, mats & ropes

-using a yielding landing

-forward, backward, skip step, fast (buoyant), running-skip step

Balance:

-using a variety of inverted symmetrical or asymmetrical body shapes

-using different bases of support on low equipment

-while traveling and changing directions and levels

-design & perform simple sequences

-hurdles, hoops, mats

-hurdle step

-smoothly landing on feet

-forward, sideways, backward, diagonal

-place hands in appropriate position for backward roll

-weight transfers, rolling, levels, shapes

Low balance beam, mats

-on low- or medium-level equipment

- involve balancing along with other skills & concepts

#1 Students demonstrate competent skills in a variety of physical activities and sports.

Using Equipment:

-throwing (underhand) to self & catching

-while switching from one hand to the other traveling slowly on different pathways

- at different levels & at different places around the body

-@ a target using side orientation, focus, weight transfer, arm position

-using the instep

-to a stationary target using the inside of the foot

-using the inside of the foot

-using the instep

-us knee, foot, elbow, forearms, hand keeping it in self-space

-using the square on the back board
